An 8-week in-person group therapy experience for international, immigrant, and foreign-born adults
Living between cultures can be emotionally complex. Many immigrants and international adults experience loneliness, uncertainty, and a sense of not fully belonging- feelings that often go unspoken.
The Story of Our Struggles is an 8-week, in-person group therapy program in Chicago designed to support international, immigrant, and foreign-born adults as they explore identity, transition, and emotional well-being in community.
This group provides a supportive, culturally attuned space to share experiences, feel understood, and build meaningful connection with others who relate to the challenges of living across cultures.
Whatever you're going through, you don't have to cope alone
This group therapy program may be a good fit if you are:
An immigrant, international, or foreign-born adult living in the U.S.
Experiencing loneliness, cultural disconnection, or uncertainty
Navigating identity, belonging, or life transitions
Looking for community-based mental health support in Chicago
Interested in in-person group therapy with culturally informed clinicians

This group is facilitated by Korean American and Taiwanese therapists ( Shinhae Oh, MA, AMFT (she/her), Anne Chen, MS, AMFT (she/her) who bring both lived experience and professional training to support immigrants and international adults in a safe, collaborative therapeutic environment.
