Personal Bio: “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there.” — Rumi
I see life as a series of ever-shifting waves: gentle and calm at times, turbulent and overwhelming at others. I appreciate your courage in choosing to be in therapy, and I hope to be a steady presence for you as you navigate these tides, helping you stay rooted and flow with change through both sunny days and stormy nights.
I deeply cherish the therapeutic relationship as a driving force for healing and growth, and I try my best to show up in the therapy room with authenticity and genuine presence. I was born in Beijing, China, and I offer therapy in both English and Mandarin. As an international woman of color living and practicing in the U.S., I understand firsthand how one’s identities, upbringing, and cultural expectations can all come into play and shape their lived experiences on both micro and macro levels. I am especially passionate about working with individuals from marginalized communities and advocating for equal access to culturally attuned mental health care.
My hope is that therapy with me feels warm, relational, and holistic. In our work together, I strive to offer a brave, accepting space where you feel safe to unwrap your concerns and vulnerabilities at your own pace. Through tuning into the here-and-now, exploring recurrent patterns, and utilizing evidence-based techniques, we will uncover meaningful insights and build a path toward thriving and resilience. If it feels like we might be a good fit, feel free to reach out for a consultation call – I’d be honored to walk alongside you and support your growth with curiosity, humility, and care.
During our initial sessions, you can expect… My genuine curiosity and willingness to listen. We will explore what brings you to therapy, how I can best support you along the way, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There is no right answer to what we discuss or how deeply we go; I’m honored to get to know any part of you that you feel ready to share.
